Description
Students will review 22 events from Jackson's presidency (and a few years before and after for context) with this timeline stations and map activity. They will first put together one timeline with 11 events and write academic identifications. They will then match 11 other events to their identification, expand on the identification, and put them in chronological order. The third station (or task) is image analysis and the final station (or task) is a map with 21 labels in addition to identifying each state and territory at the time.
Sample timeline items include the Indian Removal Act, Cherokee v. Georgia, nullification crisis, the corrupt bargain, the Tariff of Abominations, the veto of the bank charter, and more!
Teacher information and the answers are included where appropriate. This would be great for a sub if used as an individual or pairs packet!
