Description
Welcome! This listing features a full-page problem set about kinetic energy. I implement this activity in my 8th grade physical science class, but high school physical science teachers might consider using this resource as well. This problem set features ten problems where the students will solve for the kinetic energy in joules, the mass of the object in kilograms, or the velocity of the object in meters per second.
The objects profiled in this activity are an Olympic diver, a pick-up truck, a standard-sized blue, orange-tipped NERF bullet, a linebacker, a baseball, a bulldozer, a water balloon, an avalanche, arrow, and a cheetah.
This PDF file will become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat Reader DC program.
This activity comes with a complete key with the answers in red font that show all of the steps with precision and detail for each equation. Each answer honors the multiplication and division rule for significant figures.
