King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella Interview Review Activity

Students complete a 3 part interview to review Ferdinand of Aragon, Isabella of Castille, and their time as Spain's monarchs. They first answer 5 questions to review factual parts of their time on the throne, then they interview the king and queen after their coronations, and in the third part students conduct their last interview while they are on their deathbeds (both 5 questions and answers). There is a bonus creative opportunity as a final task. An answer key is included where appropriate and this would work for a sub! 

Sample questions include: 
--Why did Ferdinand and Isabella choose to unify their kingdoms? In what ways were their kingdoms unique from each other? 
--Explain the connection between Ferdinand, Isabella, and Christopher Columbus. Why is that connection worth remembering hundreds of years later? 
--What do you think will be your biggest challenge in achieving your goals and why?
--If during your reign you were presented with the choice to pursue unifying Spain or winning at Granada, which would you have chosen and why?
