Description
Students complete a 3 part interview to review King Henry VIII and his reign. The first part has 5 questions for students to review factual parts of Henry's reign. In the second part students "interview" him right after his coronation (5 questions and answers), in the third part they conduct his last interview on his deathbed (5 questions and answers), and the last task is a bonus creative opportunity. An answer key is included where appropriate. This would work for a sub.
Sample questions include:
--Identify and explain two different ways Henry used passages from the Bible to justify his marital relations and actions.
--Discuss the purpose, or goals, of the Acts of Succession.
--Create a few exchanges of dialogue (at least 5 lines each), balancing historical creativity with plausibility, for the following situations and between the following individuals.
--What do you think will be your biggest challenge in achieving your goals?
--Do you have any regrets from your time on the throne? If so what and why, or why not?
