Description
This fun, educational, and engaging activity is for students taking middle school physical science or students in related courses. Students will decode the letters to complete the two-page summary statement about our magnetic planet.
A cryptogram is a puzzle in which each letter has an assigned number. A letter-number assignment table across the top of all three activity pages helps students keep track of the coding process. The puzzle grid layout in the thumbnail preview provides the depth of the challenge students will love.
Upon completion, this activity sheet will serve as an additional study guide. The message covers key statements about the geomagnetic field, the electric current, solar wind interaction, compasses, the Van Allen belts, and the aurora borealis. This task also makes for an ideal lesson plan for a substitute teacher.
