Description
Martin Luther King, Jr. – Sunday School Resources.
It’s more important than ever that we teach our children about national heroes like Martin Luther King, Jr. who fought for racial equality in a peaceful and meaningful manner. He was a voice for those oppressed and stands as a leader and example for those who have come after him.
To help get the conversation started, here is a free Martin Luther King Jr Worksheet that you can do with your students or at home with your own children. (Read a copy of I Have a Dream speech here beforehand.) This printable includes Bible verses that Martin Luther King Jr used in his famous speech.
Students will write down the verses and then think about why these verses were included in the speech.
Martin Luther King, Jr. followed in the footsteps of his father in pressing for civil rights for ALL people. Martin Luther King, Jr. followed the example of his father before him. We, too, must carry on the torch and impress upon our own children that God made each person in His image. Black, white, purple, poor, rich, American, or Russian. God desires each person to call on the name of Jesus for salvation. He knows no prejudice.
