Flapbook and Peek-over Craftivity This flipbook can be completed alone or as a personalized peek-over craft.
Can be used with mentor text “Me on the Map” by Joan Sweeney.
Use google maps to start at your school, then slowly zoom out to the corresponding area on the flip book. Fill in the sentence stems in the book. Have students draw their home, neighborhood, and city (for the state there is a page with each of the 50 states or a blank page if you prefer students to draw). On the country, continent, and world pages have the students color their state.
A "state" page for each of the 50 states and a blank version is included.
