There are 5 information cards, ranging from 200-315 words each. Each contains descriptions of the Sumerians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Phoenicians, and Persians. Engaging visuals and video links can be found on them as well.
 
For these information cards, there are 3 different activity options
 
Activity Option 1: Information Card Question Sheets
Question sheets include written response questions for each information card and multiple choice questions for the videos
 
Activity Option 2: Mesopotamian Civilizations Box Chart
Students select 3 Mesopotamian cultures, summarize their achievements, and assess which of these civilizations contributed the most to our world today
 
Activity Option 3: Top 5 Mesopotamian Achievements
Using the information cards , students pick the top 5 achievements from Mesopotamia
This can be based on….
A) How impressive the achievement is
B) How important the achievement is for our lives today
 
Keys are provided for each activity option!
 
This lesson has been adapted for digital learning.  Students can use apps such as LuminPDF or Dochub to complete and submit the fillable PDF files.
