Description
World Geography students will learn about the history of the Middle East (Southwest Asia--Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Turkey, Jordan, Israel, and the State of Palestine) with these stations. Three sections of history are covered in 3 brief reading passages with a graphic organizer, cloze passage, 12 questions, true/false/fix, and a timeline outline review. There is a Hammurabi's Code primary source resource and a gallery walk to compare and contrast Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Lastly, this includes a PowerPoint with note guide for Israel and Palestine (can be a gallery walk or printed packet for students to work through on their own). The answers and teacher information are included where appropriate!
To recap, this includes:
--stations for Mesopotamia, expansion of Islam, independence/civil wars/terrorism
--Hammurabi's Code primary source analysis
--gallery walk for Judaism, Islam, and Christianity (with review questions and a sorting chart)
--mini lesson for Israel and Palestine with a note guide and discussion questions
