Description
Grounding techniques to help students with anxiety. They have many uses including:
-Read them to students and have them write each one down. Students memorize things better when they use their motor skills because of a thing called “Muscle Memory”.
-Have students take turns reading each one and talk about whether they think it would be a useful tool for them.
-Put these examples into one of your PowerPoint presentations, a newsletter home to parents, or a flier to handout to students in a group meeting.
-Print these on bright solid paper, cut out, attach to a binder ring, and keep them in your office to use on students when they are having a panic attack.
-Have students in your group counseling, or classroom lessons, try each of these techniques.
