Mini Halloween Sorting Mats

The Mini Halloween Cards & Sorting Mats are activity mats and Halloween cards for matching and sorting. The Halloween cards are sorted to correspond to the correct Halloween theme image on the activity sorting mats according to similarities and differences.

Purpose of Activity:

By sorting Halloween theme images students can develop a range of thinking skills that will build the foundations for later problem-solving. Logical thinking by sorting can be applied to daily life and mathematical concepts.

Different games can be played with the cards and mats. Cards can be used first for playing a matching game. Match the white background cards to the same image on an orange background. Matching pictures is good for brain development and provides an opportunity to master a skill.

After students can match the cards then the students can practice sorting the cards and place on the correct activity mat. Practicing visual discrimination by matching pictures will help a student later with matching letters and sounds.

The Mini Halloween Cards & Sorting Mats can be used in special education classrooms or in general education preschool and pre-k rooms with inclusion students.
