Description
This game, originating in 18th century Europe, is credited to Mozart. This musical game of 'chance' is played when dice are used to create music from pre-composed musical measures. You simply roll the dice and the musical measure with the coordinating number is used to compose a piece of music. This composition 'game' can be played individually or in teams of 2 or more.

Included in this NO-PREP, print and go, package is:
- 1 class hand out
- 2 dice templates (numbers 1-6 and 7-12)
- 2 unique student composition worksheets (that walks your students through the entire musical dice game and musical composition)
- 1 extra sheet of staff paper
This is an easy and really engaging lesson for upper elementary and beyond. Your options are limitless with this! Have students create their music using 1 or both dice, copy the compositions onto the staff paper, and bring it to an instrument to play. This could, potentially, be a multi-lesson project.

Mozart Dice Game
Nicely laid out and easy to use. I had hoped that someone had had the idea to make a student-version of this item (Würfelspiel by Mozart) and was happy to find it here!
