Description
- Are you looking for a quick way to cover the Presidency of Richard Nixon? By the time I get to Nixon, I am RACING to finish before our state test. I struggled to find something engaging - then I finally came up with this activity that students LOVE! This is a GREAT activity that I use to cover Nixon in 1 class period. Students love it when I add my 70s playlist as background music. It's a print and go activity!
PLEASE NOTE! This was created because I needed to teach Nixon's Presidency in 1 day. It is not an in-depth activity! It covers the basics and allows students to show their creativity.
- Students will read short summaries of 6 key events in Nixon's Presidency (included in this purchase). These events are listed below. Students will then create a visual summary inside the bubble letters and then write a summary in their own words in the boxes. I told my students that I should be able to tell that they understand the event by simply looking at their letters!
While students were working, I played my Spotify 70s playlist and they loved every minute of it! Class "Sing Alongs" are encouraged with this activity!
- Yes, your students know the lyrics to "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown and My Sharona" - and I hope they belt them out like mine did during this activity.
What is included?
- Instructions for the teacher
- Summaries of each of the 6 events (see below)
- NIXON blank page for students to write on (See images)

- Environmental Protection Agency
