Description
World Geography students will learn about, or review, the physical geography, history, and modern day of North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, and Western Sahara) with these resources. There is a 36 slide PowerPoint overview of the region's physical geography (it can also be printed and used as a gallery walk). Students will then complete a sorting chart, a regional map, design three stamps, answer 12 questions to demonstrate an understanding of the material.
There is also a one pager, "I Have Who Has," a trading card and cube project, and true/false/fix. Students will also complete a variety of projects to work with the region's modern day (pamphlet, fact flaps, newspaper front pages, and/or a collage). Lastly there is an editable test which can also be used as a review packet with a sub. Teacher information, the answers, point distributions, and examples are provided where appropriate.
To recap, this includes:
--physical geography presentation
--physical geography I Have, Who Has
--history review tasks
--history true/false/fix
--modern day projects (2 options)
--political and physical geography map review
--trading card and cube project
