Number - Greater than, Smaller than, Equal to: PowerPoint teaching activity, posters and bookmarks

This product has been designed to support teachers in teaching the language of number comparison:

Included in this resource are the following items

• 50 editable PowerPoint teaching slides
• 6 Vocabulary Posters with both language and symbol included
• Bookmarks with all 6 Vocabulary Images included for children have in their math books to recall the image and the language.

The PowerPoint has been split into 5 clear sections, each color coded and labelled with its own objective. The five objectives which each use the symbols for comparison number size are:

• Whole Numbers (10 Pink Slides)
• Decimals Numbers below 0 (10 Green Slides)
• Mixed Number - decimals and whole numbers (10 Yellow Slides)
• Fractions (10 Grey Slides)
• BODMAS/Problem Solving (10 Blue slides)

Each of the slides are editable by the class teacher - so once used, can be edited and used again, day after day until the objectives have been embedded.

Not only that, but the slides can be printed off and turned into worksheets - ideal for home learning, an assessment activity at the end of the unit or Math Center.

This resource slowly introduces the comparative language of number and supports the children in five clear areas. It has proved incredibly successful in our classrooms, and the posters, when displayed, allow the children to revisit at regular intervals to avoid forgetting the symbols after the topic has been completed.
