PBIS Front of the Line Passes

Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) has proven to be one of the most effective techniques developed to assist teachers and administrators in creating an exemplary school climate for learning and social-emotional well-being! These passes can easily be implemented as a simple, yet effective, reward within the PBIS toolbox of an individual teacher, an entire school, or even a district as a whole.

Each sheet has four passes on it, and the passes are editable to allow you to customize them with your name. Simply open the PowerPoint, click on your choice of colors (or use them all!), click on “(Teacher’s Name Goes Here)” and replace this with your name (it is set to 22-point Calibri, feel free to change this!), then print that slide onto cardstock. Make as many copies as you need, then cut them apart and laminate for a permanent, easy, and effective reward!

As the 7^th Grade Lead teacher and chair of the PBIS committee, I introduced these passes by creating two passes for each of the teachers in my grade level, as well as our principal and two assistant principals. With their permission, we began giving these as recognition, and the special seating is going outside to our picnic area for lunch! It works amazingly and gives teachers who volunteer to eat with the kids a change as well!
