Description
"Percent of a Number" is a digital, no-prep lesson on find the percentage of a number. It begins with a review of percentages by showing 10x10 grids. Students find the number shaded out of one hundred, and then shade in their own grids using the fill color feature of Google Slides. Double number lines are used to show how to find the percent of a number. The teacher can model a few of these and then have students complete some on their own. Students are then given the rule to change the percentage to a decimal and multiply. A practice slide let's them practice changing a percentage to a decimal, and on the final slide they find the percent of a number on several computation problems.
