Peter the Great Interview Review Activity

Students complete an interview activity to review the reign of Russia's Peter the Great. They first answer 5 history based questions, then they "interview" Peter after taking the throne (5 questions and answers), and then they conduct his last interview prior to his death (6 questions and answers). The last task is a bonus creative opportunity. An answer key is included where appropriate and this would work for a sub!

Sample questions include: 
--Identify 4 ways Peter attempted to Westernize and modernize Russia. What purpose did it all serve? 
--Why and how did Peter the Great expand Russia’s borders? Include at least 3 examples in your answer. 
--Did Peter the Great leave more of a positive or negative legacy on Russia and why? 
--What do you think will be your biggest challenge in achieving your goals?
--If you could have given yourself one piece of advice the day before your first day on the throne and again on your 20th anniversary of being in power, what would it have been and why?
