Phlebotomy Knockout Game - Safety and Routine Collections

Tired of reviewing your students for their certification test the boring way? Phlebotomy Knockout will have your students engaged and excited. To play the game, the class will be divided into two teams. Each team will send a representative to the board on their respective side. Students will answer the question either with marker on the white board where the Power Point is projected or out loud. The first student with the correct answer “wins” and gets a point for their team. Other players not at the board answer on the scorecard at their seat and turn this in at the end of the game.

After both teams have answered, the teacher presses the spacebar to reveal the correct answer. The team that answered correctly first is awarded a point. This also gives the teacher a moment to correct any major misunderstandings with the entire class.

Students not at the board have game cards to write out the correct answer at their desk and award themselves points for right and wrong answers to keep themselves engaged when it isn’t their turn. Score cards have medical symbols that match the current slide on the board to keep answers in order. Have students turn in the card at the end of the game for an easy daily grade that required more than your average participation grade!

The team with the most correct right answers at the end of the game wins.

There are 16 slides with questions, each with 2 different but comparable questions, meaning your students are exposed to 32 questions.
