Poetry and Figurative Language Mini Unit

Join in on the fun with this week long poetry unit and figurative language activities! The poetry week takes the children through practicing and using rhyming, making a Haiku poem, an Acrostic poem, a Diamante Poem and at the end creating their own rap or song :) Also included are seesaw linked activities that go over and practice Idioms, Hyperbole's, Onomatopoeia and Alliteration in a creative and fun way.

Student's will create their own ice cream shop and flavors with alliterations, make one of their stories more exciting with hyperbole, create a comic using onomatopoeia and drawing out different idioms!
