Poetry Book with Figurative Language

This document will help your students create their own poetry book (by hand or digitally!) It helps your students write a variety of poetry while incorporating figurative language.

Types of poems they will write:

Haikus

Lunes

Tongue Twisters

Triplets

Cinquains

Couplets

Personal Poem

Diamantes

Figurative Language Requirements:

Similes

Metaphors

Onomatopoeia

Idioms

Hyperboles

Allusion

Personification

Poetry book will also include a cover, author’s page, images, and a favorite poem.
