President Andrew Jackson Hero or Villain Activity Legacy Debate Video Guide

Students will watch and analyze a 5 minute video about the two sides of Jackson's legacy by answering 20 questions. They will then complete an extension task and determine where on the hero or villain scale they see him. The answers are included where appropriate. The video is from TedEd.

Sample questions include:
--Why was Jackson’s inauguration something the prosecution highlights?
--How did the defense respond to the spoils system accusation?
--Identify one reason he vetoed the bank’s renewal.
--Explain how it wasn’t “fair and square” that Native American land had been purchased by the government.
