Description
Students will complete a 3 part activity to review the presidency of Jimmy Carter. The first part has 5 questions to help students review factual parts of his time in office. In the second part of the activity students "interview" Carter immediately after his inauguration (5 questions and answers), in the third part they conduct his last interview (5 questions and answers), and the last task is a bonus creative commemorative opportunity. An answer key is included where appropriate. This would work for a sub!
Sample questions include:
--Explain what led Carter to deliver his Crisis of Confidence speech. Does that phrase accurately characterize the historical context, why or why not?
--Identify the events these images are related to and explain them. Which you think impacted Carter’s presidency more and why?
--What is the most important item on your presidential agenda?
--What do you consider your greatest success?
--Do you have any regrets from your time in office?
