Description

Students complete a 3 part activity to review President Ford and his presidency. The first part has 5 questions to help students review factual parts of Ford's presidency. In the second part of the activity students "interview" Ford right after his inauguration (5 questions and answers), in the third part they conduct his last interview on his deathbed (5 questions and answers), and the last task is a bonus creative opportunity. An answer key is included where appropriate. This would work for a sub.

Sample questions include:
--Explain the role of the Helsinki Accords in the Cold War and identify Ford’s role in it.
--Compare and contrast Ford’s handling of the Arab-Israeli conflict and the Vietnam War (as mediator, determining America’s role/involvement, etc) and identify in which he was more successful. Your answer may depend on how you are approaching the term “successful.”
--What is the most important item on your presidential agenda?
--What do you think will be your biggest challenge in achieving your goals?
--Do you have any regrets from your time in office?
