Description
Students analyze 10 documents, answer 10 historical context questions, complete two sorting charts, and write a DBQ essay to review Harry Truman's presidency. There are 12 essay prompts for students to choose from (students need to pay attention to the slight variations in order to respond accurately and one allows for the class or teacher to make their own prompt). The answers are included where appropriate and the initial analysis part would be great for a sub! ***Some of the sourcing is generalized so that students have to place it in the historical context themselves.***
Sample questions include:
--How do NSC—68 and Document 1 connect to each other?
--In one word, what was Truman attempting to combat in Document 5?
--Summarize the historical context of Document 6.
--What was enacted with Document 7 and for what purpose? Due it its success, what followed?
