Description
Students complete a 3 part activity to review President John Quincy Adams and his presidency. The first part has 5 academic questions to help students review Adams' time in office. In the second part of the activity students "interview" J.Q. Adams right after his inauguration (6 questions and answers), in the third part they conduct his last interview on his deathbed (5 questions and answers), and the final task is a bonus creative opportunity. An answer key is included where appropriate and this would work for a sub!
Sample questions include:
--Where did Adams fall on the issue of slavery? Explain your answer with concrete examples.
--Explain the connection between the 12th Amendment and President Adams.
--Discuss why Adams hesitated to provide support to the Greek War of Independence.
--What is the most important item on your presidential agenda?
--What would you like your legacy to be?
--Do you have any regrets from your time in office?
