Description
Students analyze 17 documents (6 images and 11 text), answer 17 historical context questions, complete a sorting chart, and write a DBQ essay to review LBJ's presidency . There are 12 essay prompts for students to choose from (one allows for the class or teacher to make one of their own). The answers are included where appropriate and the initial analysis part would be great for a sub! ***Some of the sourcing is generalized so that students have to place it in the historical context/event themselves.***
Sample questions include:
--Which event led to the issuance of Document 1 and with what justification?
--Does Document 4 support or oppose the Vietnam War and why?
--Why is the man in Document 7 so historic?
--Summarize the main point of Document 11.
--Does Document 12 support or oppose the Great Society and why?
--Summarize the historical context of Document 14.
