Description

All these resources go with this youtube video: Wilson & the League of Nations

The video teaches students Wilson's 14 Points and goals for the peace after World War One, his struggles with the other Allied leaders at the Paris Peace Conference, and his fight with the Senate to secure America's participation in the League of Nations.

The resources include an interactive notesheet to help students comprehend, connect with, and think critically about the video story-lecture. There is a quick 7 question quiz to check for understanding, and then an extension lesson that has students consider if America should have joined the League of Nations. They analyze two political cartoons and then read speech excerpts from Wilson and Henry Cabot Lodge. After answering questions they complete argumentative writing on the driving question. There are answers sheets for everything and a link to a google drive for future free updates of all files.
