Print, Cut and Go
Students often wonder how math applies to the real world. Here’s an example you can share with them. In this set of 16 cards you’ll find a variety of man-made images with lines overlaid on them. Students are expected to determine the slope, y-intercept and linear equation for each line. In the answer key I provided the linear equations in slope-intercept form.
These can be used for stations/centers or for a class activity.
I reworked the photograph into black and white images to keep the size of the file smaller and so that the images wouldn’t be too visually cluttered.
