Description

“Reconstruction Era“ goes over the events from 1865 to 1877. Reconstruction is a unit the kids do not know a lot about. If you present this as politics, that turns off a class quick. If you present Reconstruction as a power struggle, with back stabbing and corruption, throw in the struggle for black rights, more corruption, the KKK, and more corruption. Now you got something. They’ll listen.
“Reconstruction Era“ consists of 60 plus slides, including images, maps, charts, primary documents, and student text notes for class. Teacher notes and extra information are included on “note view “for many slides. “This Presentation was used in class, tweaking it over years of class use. It holds the class interest and brings up a lot of discussion. This works and keeps the kids attention.
