Description

4.145 Woman, I - 4.147 Marilyn Diptych - 4.149 The Bay - Interactive Lecture

Introduce students to the Color Field and Pop Art movements in art with this interactive lecture! Students will learn about form, function, content, and context for Woman, I, Marilyn Diptych, and The Bay. This lesson comes packed full of activities to check for student understanding. This lesson is intended to be used in conjunction with my 20th-Century Art Scrapbook, so after finishing this lesson, students will complete one activity page in the book. Please note that you DO NOT need to purchase my scrapbook to complete this lesson.

Have your students ever complained about having too many PowerPoint lectures in a row? I know mine have at one time or another. That is why I created this interactive lecture to spice things up a bit with my AP Art History class.

What is an interactive lecture? It’s a lecture covering required information while providing videos and fun activities to check for understanding—for example, fill-in-the-blank questions or multiple-choice practice. I found that lessons like this help keep students engaged and break up the monotony of regular PowerPoint lectures.
