This test is correlated with part one of The American Revolution A film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein & David Schmidt. Part One is titled In Order to be Free (May 1754 - May 1775). The video is rated TV-14.

This document can be used as a stand alone test to evaluate the information of this time period, but it is designed to work well with the worksheet associated with the two hour long video.

The test evaluates the historical period from the start of the French and Indian War to the Battles of Lexington and Concord with the shot heard around the world. The causes of the American Revolution and the people involved with this are examined in detail.

The 8 page multiple choice test contains 40 questions.

The test is a word document in a zip file which fully editable if you want to add, delete or change questions. An answer key is included, as well as pdf versions of the worksheet and answer key.
