Rosetta Stone Activity Video Guide Analysis

Students will watch and analyze a 5 minute video about the discovery, translation process, and significance of the Rosetta Stone from Ancient Egypt by answering 20 questions and completing a creative task. The answers are included where appropriate and the video is from TedEd.  

Sample questions include:
--Identify the three types of writing on the Rosetta Stone. 
--How were the three types of writing connected?
--Why were royal names relevant to the Rosetta Stone?
--What was a prevailing misconception about hieroglyphs in 1814?
--What did translating the Rosetta Stone accomplish?
