Description
Students are given 20 task cards with science research scenarios and asked to identify the Independent Variable, Dependent Variable, and Controlled Variables, Research Question, and more. Thinking Like a Scientist is a tested concept in Texas and is harder than some might think. Students are asked to infer, deduce, read between the lines, and have some good dialogue with their peers.
Many of these task cards are based on real experiments I have done with my students over the years. I hope it adds to the authenticity of the assignment!
Intended Audience: I designed these for middle school or lower high school. Please check out the preview and see if the reading level and such is a good fit!
This Includes:
- 20 task cards
- pictures in black and white for economy printing
- Many are real experiment scenarios that I have done with my students over the years.
- Student answer documents
- Answer Key with possible answers, even for the more open-ended questions.
