Description
Students create a SCALE MODEL of their SKELETAL SYSTEM out of pasta. The hands on nature of the activity along with the mathematical practice in creating a scale model enhances learning and provides a much needed cross curriculum experience.
A high interest, fun, hands on lab experience for students ranging from 6th-12th grade. Use as either an introduction or a review of the concept.
The experience has built in ENL and special education modifications to allow all learners access to the curriculum (developed with a co-teacher). The experience has been tested and implemented with well over 100 students to ensure quality.
Questions at the end of the lesson asses understanding.
