Snow Day Inequalities: Activity/Task Cards

Who doesn’t love a snow day? This set of winter themed task cards is a great way to work with the basics of inequalities. The approach of these task cards is to provide a scaffold approach to working with inequality word problems. 

This set is designed to be used a couple of ways. One way is to just have students write just the inequality sign for the given sentence. Another way is to have students write an inequality for each given sentence. If you go with this option, I recommend telling them to use x for all their inequalities’ variable, just to keep things simple. Because I didn’t put instructions directly on the task cards, you can use this set twice or you can scaffold the activity. These cards can be used for a station, center or activity.
