Social Psychology: Conformity

In this lesson, students will study the classic Asch experiment, but they will also go beyond to apply the findings to their lives and the lives of those around them. This lesson begins with a brain games video bellringer, then includes direct instruction from a Crash Course video with doodlenotes. Included is a close read of a current article about conformity, complete with layered questions (vocab, connections, and analysis) with three layers of reading exposures for deep understanding. Finally, there is the option for a discussion and card sort to apply the four causes of conformity to common real life situations.
All lessons include learning targets and essential questions, directions, and easily printable handouts for your students.
