Description

Texas History students will read about the changing borders and tensions between America, Texas, and Spain's North American holdings from 1763-1819. They will also analyze maps, answer 12 questions, and complete a territories map. Topics covered touch on the French and Indian War, the shutting down of Spanish missions, the removal of Spanish East Texans to San Antonio, Spain's support of the patriots during the Revolutionary War, the Louisiana Purchase, the Adams-Onis Treaty of 1819, and more! This is best assigned just prior to teaching about Mexico's fight for independence from Spain. This would be great for a sub and the answers are included where appropriate!
