Description
This St. Patrick’s Day Medical Terminology Puzzle is designed for helping students connect with some of the most common medical terminology prefixes, suffixes and root words that students see on NHA certification tests. The puzzle can be printed in black and white or color. Students then will cut their own copy. I usually have students work in groups. Verbally processing answers and asking questions to their classmates will help them to use reasoning to find the matches they don’t know. If needed, students may use a medical dictionary (print or online) to help. I hope this activity gives you and your students a tactile and fun way to study medical terminology.
