Description

This product provides teachers with all the planning and student resources they need to be able to teach the STEM unit of footwear/slippers to their class. The unit focuses on the work on textiles, and allows students to be able to evaluate existing products, design, make and evaluate their own footwear.

Included in this product:

  • 6 detailed lesson plans which take the design process from product analysis, success criteria design, planning, writing instructions, focused practical activities for learning key skills related to textiles, making, evaluating and then reviewing future learning
  • 11 page student design booklet to keep their learning journey together and in sequence with the six lesson plans

The six lesson plans include the following design and make steps:
