Description
Structures and Forces is a comprehensive science unit for Middle Years students with very little prep required by teachers. It is completely laid out with teacher notes and a sequence of activities to give direction for the unit. Students will learn about various types of structures and the forces that act upon them. They will also experience many hands-on activities to reinforce concepts in the unit. A culminating activity for the unit is a project in which students, design, build, test, and evaluate a structure that has a function and that can withstand an external force.
