Symmetry, Positive & Negative space Remote or In person art lesson plans 6-12

This has lessons that relate to symmetry & asymmetry which includes faux stained glass, Notans and tessellations. Art history is ingrained including Mc Escher, Japanese art, and a modern African American muralist, Kara Walker. I included a digital art option as well as video clips and examples. I have made these projects with students and they were engaged. This project is inter-disciplinary and connects to other cultures as well as math with pattern and tessellations.
