I'm a first year social studies teacher teaching in my hometown high school! I teach World History and love sharing my love of travel and exploration with my students. I recently graduate from Texas A&M University where I received a B.S. in Geography. During my time at A&M I studied abroad in high Andes of Peru and conducted field research in Patagonia region of southern Chile. I also completed a GIS internship on a sailboat in the Spanish Virgin Islands mapping the islands trails, studying their culture, and studied marine life. Along with my university experience detailed above, I've traveled extensively across the western US and up to Canada, gone multi-pitch rock climbing in Mexico, slid down waterfalls in the jungles of Costa Rica, and solo-backpacked from Paris, France to Edinburgh, Scotland. These adventures allow me to add a personal touch to my lessons whenever we cover anywhere that I've been.
