Texas After Reconstruction Review Activities

Texas History students can use this packet as a scavenger hunt with their textbook to learn about, or review, Texas after Reconstruction (from about 1876-1900). The topics covered include challenges facing farmers and their organization attempts with the Grange and Farmers Alliance, women's attempts to gain suffrage, segregation, railroad line expansion, economic changes, and more! Students will complete 15 fill in the blank statements and a related academic extension task. They will work with 5 images, match 9 sets of keywords to their corresponding sections (and make 1 of their own), and write 3 summaries based on provided key phrases. Lastly, they will complete a map with 20 labels. The answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub if your students use it as a scavenger hunt!
