Students will learn (or review) everything from the first half of Texas History: climate and physical geography, regions, early inhabitants, exploration, missions, Spanish Texas, Mexico's fight for independence, colonization, the Texas Revolution, Texas as a Republic, the annexation of Texas, and everything in between.
The activities include jigsaws, timelines, gallery walks, task cards, sorting charts, PowerPoints, primary source analysis resources (many including image analysis and extension tasks), image and caption matching, maps, pamphlet reviews, "I have who has," true/false/fix, reference sheets, editable tests, and more!
