For the Activity, there are three different options based on students examining the laws of Hammurabi's Code.
For the laws of Hammurabi's Code, there are two different options, each with the same information.
- Option 1 – An engaging chart with stone tablets displaying various laws
- Option 2 – A more straightforward chart outlining the laws on one page
Activity Option 1: On the worksheet provided, students use Hammurabi's code to determine if the statement is True or False
Activity Option 2: Students examine the laws of Hammurabi's code and explain why they would have been put in place in Babylonian society
Activity Option 3: Students pick the law that would best apply to each of the statements and explain their decision
