Description
Students will review 22 people, events, and locations from the Civil Rights Movement with this timeline stations and map activity. They will first put together one timeline with 11 events and write academic identifications. They will then match 11 other events to their identification, expand on the identification, and put them in chronological order. The third station (or task) is image analysis and the final station (or task) is a map with 27 labels.
Sample timeline items include the Greensboro sit ins, the Little Rock 9, the Montgomery Bus Boycott, Medgar Evars' assassination, the Voting Rights Act, Brown v. Board of Education, SCLC established, and more!
Teacher information and the answers are included where appropriate. This would be great for a sub if used as an individual or pairs packet!
