Description
Students will learn about the first presidential election (election of President Washington) by watching a 4 minute video and answering 22 questions (one is a creative task). The answers are included where appropriate and the video is from TedEd.
Sample questions include:
--Give 3 examples of how Washington’s election differed from those today.
--How did the Constitution originally provide for voters in presidential elections?
--Explain how electors were chosen.
--Where did Washington move to after being elected, and why?
--Identify 3 groups of people that can vote today but not when Washington was elected.
