Description
Students will watch and analyze a 5 and a half minute video on the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854 by answering 25 questions and completing a creative task. The answers are included where appropriate and the video is from TedEd.
Sample questions include:
--Who rose up in the 1850s in favor of westward expansion?
--Summarize the controversy surrounding the proposed bill.
--Explain the meaning of Alexander Stephens’ quote.
--How did the composition of political groups change after the passage of the Kansas-Nebraska Act?
--Why was this the end of the Whig Party?
