Description
Students will review 24 events from the Progressive Era with this timeline stations and map activity. They will first put together one timeline with 12 events and write academic identifications. They will then match 12 other events to their identification, expand on the identification, and put them in chronological order. The third station (or task) is image analysis and the final station (or task) is a map with 23 labels in addition to identifying each state.
Sample timeline items include Lochner v. NY, the Federal Reserve Act, the 16th/17th/18th Amendments, Taft's election, The Jungle, the coal miner strike, the Elkins Act, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, the Niagara Movement, and more!
Teacher information and the answers are included where appropriate. This would be great for a sub if used as an individual or pairs packet!
